We began our Crown Hill project on September 15th, 2021 which consisted of renovating the 1,118 square foot home to add on a 2nd floor. Now completed, this home has a total of  2,353 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an office. The renovated house also includes multiple decks, a sun room and a large rooftop deck.

 

To begin this project and before we could remove the roof of the current house to add the second floor, we needed to replace the current foundation to be able to support the addition of the 2nd floor.  There are multiple ways we could have accomplished this task, but we went with the most efficient and cost effective way to replace the foundation, which was to simply raise the house while we worked to replace the current foundation.
